princess comparison

    Have you seen a lot of Disney princess movies? There is Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty,etc. But do you have a favorite? My favorite is Mulan. In fact, I think she sets an example for all girls. Today I hope to convince you that Mulan is the best by comparing her with two other princesses: Cinderella and Snow White.
    First, Mulan is noble and kind. She made a lot of sacrifices for other people. In the movie, she cuts her hair, dresses up like a man, and goes to the army to let her sick father (the only person in the family who legally can go fight against the Hans) rest. Meanwhile, Cinderella did not sacrifice or lose anything for her loved ones or her friends. Also, Snow White cannot be seen once giving a precious belonging or a treasure for a loved one.
    Second, she is smart. Mulan thinks carefully and organizes her army well. In the movie, she makes clever plans and  eventually wins the battle with her wit and fast thinking. She is also the best warrior in the prince's army. However, if we look at Cinderella, when she is in danger, all she does is call her animal friends for help. Snow White does not even know the difference between truth and lie. In fact, she carries a moral with her: Never trust a stranger easily. Therefore, Mulan is a symbol of cleverness while Snow White is an icon of naive personality.
    Finally, she never gives up on her dreams. Mulan is always determined for her ways, which she thinks are right(and they are!). In the movie, she holds on when the prince asks her to quit the army and keeps trying to warn the people even though the prince "fires" her from the army because she is a female. Eventually, she succeeds and saves China. Cinderella just sits down and cries when she thinks she can't go to the ball. Snow White never acts but always reacts to everything. There isn't anything that she did by herself. Also, she loves a prince but just sits and waits for him. Mulan is surely better than these princesses.
   I think we should learn from Mulan how to sacrifice, think deeply and dream. Are you convinced that she is a good role model for girls now? If you are, keep these three things in mind and try them out!
